Title:  Varun's Past

Intro:  Time before the take over on Mobius

Before Varun Tsunami became the great leader of the Aquarius 
Freedom Fighter that everyone knows today, before the take over 
of Mobius even happen Varun was nothing more then a child but not 
any normal child. No, while every other child was living their lives 
as normal kids without a care in the world Varun had a much harder 
life and today that story is about to be told. The days of when 
Varun was struggling to survive on the streets of Urser without 
anyone to care for him but himself.

One night on a cold and rainy day two married couple seabears by 
the name of Merric and Marine Tsunami seem to be running from 
something. Whatever they are running from they run into a dark 
alley where Marine seems to set something downin a box like 
shelter. She removes the blanket to reveal a small baby seabear 
boy with two blue streaks in his hair, much like his mother. 
Marine puts her hand on her son's check with tears falling down 
her eyes. Merric walks behind his wife and puts her hand on her 
shoulder "Come on dear. Time for us to go." Marine looks up at 
her husband with tears still falling from her eyes "I know but 
do we really need to abandon Varun like this? Couldn't we at least 
place him in someone's care?" Merric sighs and shakes his head at 
her question "Sorrythere is no time. I know you don't like this but 
it is the only way to make sureour son is safe. We just have to hope 
that someone will find him and give him a good home." 

Marine cries hard but knows he is right and looks back to Varun and 
kisses himon the cheek. "Good bye Varun. I will always love you." 
She places a picture ofthem and Varun next to him and gets up, 
continuing to cry. Merric hugs Marine tightly and kisses her cheek 
"Let's get going." The two finally manage to leavethe alley, leaving 
their son to fend for himself. Soon after Varun cries himself,wanting 
his parent's care but that cry for his parents' is never answer. 
Unaware that his parents left him Varun keeps on crying and crying 
until finally he cries himself to sleep.

The next day Varun awakes to find that he is in a new surrounding then 
he normally is and being a child he is clueless to what had happen. He 
looks around in his smallshelter to find the picture his mom left for 
him and picks it up, looking at it "Mommy, Daddy." The only few words 
he knows and slowly crawls out of his shelter and stands to his feet, 
placing his picture in his small pocket and tries walking out of the alley.

Varun walks out of the alley and into a part of the city he has never 
been in before,not even with his parents. The young seabear searches 
all over for his parentstrying to get him from anyone he can but without 
the ability to communicate withothers well that is a very hard thing to 
do for him. Finally after so many hours the young seabear returns to his 
box like shelter, having no luck or no help in finding his parents. Varun 
cries softly, wiping his tears from his eyes as he realizes "Mommy and 
Daddy, gone." He softly sets his head down on the pillow and closes his 
eyes, falling asleep.


As the years past Varun waited and waited for his parents to return 
in the same spot that they left him. While he waited he learned how 
to survive on his own by watching those that past by. Learning such 
things like talking better, how to get food and water, cooking the food 
he gets, how to create clothes for himself from materials that he took 
and other skills that will help him survive on his own. As he grew older 
his hope that his parents would return to him fade away and his hatred 
to them grew. Slowly each day Varun cared less and less if he ever found 
his parents again but something inside of him wanted to see them again. 
That is why he keeps the picture he was given by his mother before she 
left with his father the day he was abandon with him always.

Now Varun is five and has gotten pretty use to being by himself and 
living on the streets of Urser and always moving from place to place, 
having a new home each time he moves to a new part of the city. Varun 
never feels welcome anywhere he goes so that is why he usually moves 
around but another reason is that most other parts of town have more 
materials, food and water for him to take so he can survive for yet 
another day. Normally Varun is very good in taking stuff without being 
caught but today that will change.

Young Varun wanders into the market place and looks around like he 
is just exploring but once he finds a stand that has what he needs 
he slowly makes his way towards it. Varun slowly approaches the 
stand and smirks "Now to get this guy to look away long enough for 
me to grab a few things." He thinks and looks around and tries to 
figure out a way to distract the guy at the stand. 

Varun thinks up a simple idea and walks up to the guy "Excuse me 
mister. But there was someone in that alley over there." He points 
in the alley and continues to speak "Who said he had something for 
you." The shopkeeper looks at Varun and wonders "What does he have 
of mine?" Varun shrugs "Not sure but he said it was yours." The 
shopkeeper has no idea what Varun could mean but decides to check it 
anyway. Varun grins and begins taking some of his stuff "What a sucker." 
He keeps on taking and placing them in a small bag that is tied to his 
belt shopkeeper returns and catches Varun trying to steal from him. 
"Hey you kid."

Varun quickly turns his head and sees that the shopkeeper came back 
sooner then he thought so he grabs what he can and runs. The shopkeeper 
chases Varun and yells to anyone that can hear him "Help police. That 
little brat is running off with some of my merchandise." Lucky for the 
shopkeeper their was two police officers in the area and spotted the 
scene and begin to chase Varun as well.

Varun looks back to see who is chasing him and tries to pick up speed 
"Geez, the cops. Better move faster." The young seabear picks up speed 
and runs as fast as he can but the polices and shopkeeper are just as 
fast and finally Varun is caught. "Alright you. Give back this guys 
merchandise and we will have a talk with your parents." The thought of 
his parents gets Varun somewhat angry and instead of trying to struggle 
he decides to fight, slapping his tail in front of one of the police 
officer until he drops him. The other police officer slowly approaches 
Varun and said in a soft voice "Now calm down little guy. No one is going 
to hurt you. Now please stop this and come with us."

Varun growls softly and takes one of the fruit in his bag and tosses 
it up then he swings his tail to smack the fruit right into the police 
officer's eyes, blinding him for the moment. Varun takes this moment to 
run away fast, looking back at them as he runs "Sorry but if you want me 
you got to catch me." The police officer with the fruit in his eyes 
gets a little angry himself and said to the other one "After that kid. 
Get some back up too." The other police officer nods and sends a 
transmission to any officers in the area to look out for a small male s
eabear with blue streaks in his hair. It doesn't take long for other 
officers to spot Varun and begin to chase him.

Varun leads everyone that was chasing him into a restaurant where 
he jumps on to the tables and begins throwing food at the officers that 
follow him in. He laughs and once he runs out of food he begins throwing 
plates and bowls and once he runs out of those he hops off the table and 
runs into the kitchen and into the back door which leads him into an alley. 
"Hah, let's see those cops catch me now."

Varun runs to the exit of the alley but is corner by two officers then the 
ones that were following him in the restaurant come out the back door and 
trap Varun from behind "Now I'm not going to ask again kid. Come with us 
now." One officer said. Varun shakes his head and is not ready to give up 
yet, not by a mile. He looks around to see if there is any other way of 
escaping and all he can find is the fire escape ladder and quickly jumps 
on it and climbs up before he can be grab.

Some officers follow him the same way Varun went and others go into the 
building to see if they can get Varun from inside. Varun climbs to the top 
and looks around on every edge of this roof. He finds a wire that connects 
to this building and the one across the streets and a clothes line where he 
grabs one of the clothes that were hanging from it and wraps it around the 
wire "Hope this works." He jumps off the edge and slides down the wire and 
safely ends up on the other building. By the time the other officers get 
there Varun is already on the other building "For a kid he sure has skills." 

Since Varun is already running down to the streets the officers quit 
the chase for him and let him get away this time. Varun runs out of the 
building and out of the streets to his temporary home on the outside of 
the market place. Once Varun arrives he takes a seat somewhere to catch 
his breath and looks at what he gather "That was a close one. Good thing 
I got away with everything that I didn't use on those cops." He stands up 
and places the bag in his small storage area and takes a spot on his small 
bed and lies down, yawning big "Boy am I tired. I think I will rest for a 
little while." 

Varun slowly closes his eyes and falls asleep after his hard day and tomorrow 
he plans on returning to the market place to gather more things but this time 
he will be more quicker or at least that what he thinks he is doing tomorrow. 
Unaware to Varun that tomorrow will change his life forever, as tomorrow is 
the take over of Urser and the beginning of Varun's path of being a leader 
and a hero.
